Using Scanning Flags to manage ticket types on entry

Scanning flags allow you to create a visual cue for gate staff when scanning tickets based on ticket type.

This is a great option for verifying concession or child/junior ticket eligibility on entry or can be used to flag special ticket types like VIPs who may need different access at your events or tickets with a merchandise inclusion that may need to be collected on entry.

When you successfully scan a ticket, the INTIX Scanner app displays a green screen with a tick and details of the ticket type scanned. 

If a ticket cannot be scanned or has been used, a red screen with a cross will display as well as a reason for the ticket being un-scannable.

If you set a Scanning Flag on a ticket type, when this ticket type is successfully scanned an amber screen and a tick will display.

To set up Scanning Flags: 

  1. Log in to your INTIX account > Host An Event
  2. Manage Attendees > Event Access Control
  3. Under the Additional Check heading, tick “Scanning Flag” for any ticket price types that you want to display this additional check
